The Excellence in Innovative Supply Management Award is the outcome of many months of work by a committee appointed by the Southwest Supply Chain Forum. The members of that committee are responsible for evaluating all entries for the Award. Awards will be presented at the annual Southwest Purchasing Conference. Winners will be notified in time to register for the Conference. The Southwest Supply Chain Forum sponsors the Excellence in Innovative Supply Management (EISM) award to recognize and reward organizational excellence in the purchasing and supply management field. With this award, the Forum is providing value not only to its members but also to their respective companies. Achieving this award will not only showcase your company’s innovative best practices on a regional level but will promote the purchasing/supply management department within the company. The EISM award is NOT a competition. It is based on best practices criteria, innovation and continuous improvement using a point system. Both small and large companies will be able to meet the criteria and attain the EXCELLENCE IN INNOVATIVE SUPPLY MANAGEMENT award. The Forum created this program as a tool for organizations to benchmark against the established best practices criteria. Why would you, the purchasing/supply manager want to apply? The EISM process will challenge and motivate your organization to stay on the leading edge of purchasing and supply management related techniques, processes and technology.
